QSI International School of Chengdu

Theme: It Takes a Village

Collaborating for Multilingual Learners' Success

In international schools across Asia, our classrooms are vibrant communities where many languages, cultures, and stories come together. Supporting multilingual learners isn't the job of a few—it's the shared responsibility of us all.

The ACAMIS ELL Conference: It Takes a Village invites all stakeholders-homeroom and content teachers, EAL/ELL specialists, administrators, counselors, learning support teams, and parents—to come together and explore how collaboration can transform language learning and inclusion in every classroom.

Across two days of interactive workshops, practical sessions, and inspiring talks, participants will engage with leading experts and passionate practitioners to:

  • Reimagine collaboration between EAL/ELL and content-area teachers
  • Discover practical strategies for integrating language and content learning
  • Explore how data, literacy practices, and SEL support the multilingual journey
  • Strengthen systems, partnerships, and professional learning cultures that sustain growth

Through shared dialogue and action, we'll explore how each member of the school community contributes to a thriving environment where language, identity, and belonging are nurtured.

Join us as we learn, share, and grow together—because in every school, it truly takes a village to support our multilingual learners.
